Hallmark Trailers

I have a Hallmark Trailer for my Zodiac Medline 11 which is in Mallorca. The authorities here require the EU compliance papers for a trailer before it can be registered. Anyone have contact details for Hallmark? An online search only came up with retailers, not the manufacturer. Cheers

You can be sure of that, 25% of the 'workforce ' are civil servants and dedicated to tripping you up with reams of paper. Don't think I'll ever get used to it.

I suspect that you will need to get the trailer upgraded to 'European Spec' before you can get it registered. Assuming all the components are compliant (they should be if it's a modern trailer) you will just need to upgrade the lighting to include side marker lights, front and rear outline marker lights. Alternatively just pull it behind a UK registered vehicle, then there is no need to register it!

The guy you'd likely want to talk to, up at Indespension, is John Woodward.

He may be able to produce a generic certificate of conformity that would cover your trailer. There'd likely be a charge, but at least you'd be able to use your trailer. Or, as Mike said - use a UK vehicle!

Towing behind a UK reg vehicle is fine for visitors but will get a resident a minimum 600 euro on the spot fine and I'm resident here so have to comply unfortunately. My local garage/workshop say that it complies with the regs but that I need the papers to go with it.
Thanks for the info and the contact name at Indespension.
