didnt bother me your opinion, although in my experience roller bunks aren't the be all and end all for not getting wheel nuts wet since on my rig the trailer nuts are 6 inch from the bottom of the tire and my car 11 inch, its got to be a steep slip or beach to give enough water to float the boat off without any damage OMO

I thought that too but hadn't the inclination to labour the point. Always had "roller" type trailers, always got the wheels wet.

well i commented because i use loads of launch places as do you, not many are that good to be able to let the boat go off the rollers my SIB trailer needs to be in knee depth water to float off minimum and its the lowest trailer i know of with 10 inch wheels completely submerged. as i commented in another thread i just change out the whole bearing hub each year at £15 each keep two spares with me and jack the trailer up to check for bearing wear also check nut tightness too with grease on before each outing. had waterproof bearings on my rib trailer changed them after six years nowt wrong with them just got a bit jittery that they lasted that long greased nuts again no probs, stripped brakes each year wire brushed and coated steel work in denso paste, flushing kit was fitted to each wheel not convinced that does much good unless you flush at the slipway straightaway. OMO
