Galvanised 8 Spokes Wheels

Hi Guys

Does anyone know where I can obtain galvanised wheels for my Indespension ROLLER COASTER 1 UNBRAKED trailer this side of the Atlantic?

I bought the trailer new last season and the wheels are already starting to peel and rust around the edges despite lots of washing after every dunking.

In America galvanised wheels are the norm, which make great sense I think. Searching around the web I found these guys in the States:

http://www.sturdybuiltonline.com/12q...eel_p_142.html

The price per wheel is pretty good, it’s the carriage cost that are making it hurt, they are quoting £110GBP ($166.00) to ship them to me.

Any advice???

Toby

You can have your wheels gavanised. The only problem I had with mine was the extra thickness of zinc at the low point of the hanging wheel while being galvanised, needed dressing down.

Assuming it's a standard size wheel and lug pattern, you could buy some cheap stamped steel auto rims and have them galvanized, or buy cheap aluminum rims. If they're an odd size, this won't help.

I'm rather surprised that you can't find galvanized steel rims over there; you guys seem to do a lot more trailer boating than most of us in the States.
