In the RWC, Australia ran the 'Pooper' combination of Pocock and Hooper, both world class no.7s. Pocock played at 8 and was awarded player of the tournament. Proof that a fast, smart, poaching no.7 is essential in the modern game with the breakdown rules being as they now are.
Having said that, Itoje is no mug at the breakdown.
