I've never tried one, but it does say "on hard standing", so would be ok if you only use concrete slips. I'm not sure how the gearing on it would like being dunked in salt water on a regular basis.

I found lots of discussion on caravan web sites. From what I could gather it can not deal with any gradient or gravel so I didn't take it any further.

I was thinking more for use at home. Where I park the boat on the garden I need to turn it around ready for next times use. This would save having to call on friends and family to do a 180 on the lawn.
