Our Diving Officer does this behind a diesel astra hatchback.

Orve

PS He has a 60HP 4-stroke on the back.

It was hopeless at getting on the plane with 3 divers (it didn't :-) ) until he got a doelfin; now I would say it is borderline............

This may be the clincher! If it is borderline we'll be burning far too much fuel and it will cost double to service. Next thing to resolve is whether any of our members have any inclination to tates diving out of a flubby, some still remember it!

Still thinking 6.0 - 6.4 metres is about the right size. 6.3 Humber or 6.4 Ribcraft being favourites.

Anyone using a 6.4 metre Ribcraft on a single axle trailer at the mo??

i thought that with an unbraked trailor you can only tow half the weight of the car ,ie car 1000kgs trailor 500kgs and with brakes its only weight for weight regardless of what the max plate is on the car ,and that the up to 750 kgs without brakes is if you have a vehicle large enough ie transit or shogun types ,

our people carrier weighs just under two tonnes! so im sure the weight of the rib and the trailor is no way near half of that!
