Capt. A - don't be scared off by ex-military RIBs, they are a great source for high quality hulls at bargain prices.
If this truly is a project boat, it's not that difficult to convert an inboard to an outboard, there are brackets made just for that purpose.

I have a Hurricane H630, 22 feet which I'm considering selling. Have not listed it yet.
Hull is year 2000, tubes are 2003 in excellent shape, no leaks
2007 Outboard Honda 150 with 700 hours runs perfect - have all service and repair records
2017 brand new Yamaha 9.9 HP High Thrust kicker, extra long shaft, never used
Dual marine batteries.
New Garmin GPS and fish finder
New horizon radio with GPS
2" Aluminum T-top tower, installed a year ago.
LED lights
Downrigger mounts
48 gal gas tank
windshield
tons of storage and more
comes with 25' aluminum trailer, double axle
This boat runs perfect. Stored indoors, never in the sun. Can handle any water, it's a joy to ride. Used for fishing primarily in the San Francisco area, I live in Sacramento. Send me a pm if interested.

Soooo expensive for glue-on tubesets. MSRP for Zodiac Pro 850 (28ft) tubes is $13k...slide'em on yourself with some soap, a few buddies, and some beer.

It's a Fishmaster. Because I decided to through bolt it, it was a pain in the neck to install.
However, we got caught in a 40mph storm coming back from a Farallon Island fishing trip with 3-4' breakers on top of 8' swell and the top handled beautifully, little to no movement.
The windshield makes a huge difference. Not sure if you can tell, there are only a few wing nuts holding it up, it all comes apart very easily with no tools needed in case I have to take it off for any reason. I had our local shop here heat bend to my specs, they weren't thrilled but they did a great job. Bending it was easy, getting the angle just right was a nightmare. Originally I had a straight one on top too, but our rock fishing drifts started to feel more like trolling speeds, so that's why I designed it to wrap around like that...

I designed the bracket after trying a few of the adjustable ones and was unhappy with even the expensive models. I had it welded to my specs by an aluminum shop, wasn't cheap but it's sturdy as can be.
No idea yet, I need to add up all my receipts and figure it all out. I was originally going to keep it, love the way it handles rough water, but now that I decided to run a charter business I will need comfy room for all 6 customers. This one will fish comfortably 3, maybe 4. I will keep it for personal use if I can't at least make my money back on it. It's very economical on gas, can do 110 mile trip on just 23-27 gal. Tank holds 48.
it's surprising how incredibly expensive the GSA has gotten. The 26' Hurricane that just sold for $30,000 needed tubes and motors, not too mention the minor stuff that adds up. It was cheaper for me to buy the something else...

A re tube of a ex gov 7m could be around 12k, and another 20k for a big new 4 stroke could easily push the cost over 65k.
Still researching my options.
The one real advantage of Zodiac and Willard over the Proctector is the how the tubes are secured to the boat.
I really don't understand why more builders in this industry have glue on tubes.
