Whats the realistic cost to restore a boat like that?

figure 5k for tubes alone, another few thousand on motor work. So thats close to 10,000 without adding in Anything else.

Tubes are gonna be more like 10,000 if you have to buy new.

I've seen the boat. 10,000+ for tubes is correct, 2K+ for a bracket 15-20K for new power... fuel tanks? wiring? etc. The current engine is a write off. It also has a very rough repair to previous bow damage.

Thanks for the info. I received some pics from the current owner, and it does appear that there was some hull damage. I dont think I'll be heading South to pick it up.

Its too bad, I have a new motor on the way for another boat that I was gonna buy, and a local boat repair shop owes me some favours, so I was hoping to limit the cost of the restoration to new tubes and any extras.

Anyone know of any other similar boats for sale?

My original plan was to buy a 14' Polaris, but I've decided that they are a bit too small for booting around on the outside of Vancouver Island. I primarily want the boat for exploring with surf boards and kiteboards, so the ability to carry a few people plus gear is essential.
