Too late for all you Safeboat fans, the listing has been removed. Wonder if it sold or if the Coast Guard wasn't happy about the listing.

Was it actually a ex-CG vessel?

Most of the CG Safeboats are 25 footers.

Safeboat does build consumer vessels, as well, but they're kind of pricey. Nice boats, though.

from what I recall of the picture, it had the CG step-down cabin as well as dual Honda 225 hp for power. If it smells, quacks and walks like a duck, most likely it's a duck. Perhaps the listing had the size wrong. By the way, last night I chatted with a CG guy who was manning the Safeboat on the Connecticut River Fireworks fest. According to him the boat tops out at only 46 kts. the CG bid spec must have been 50 mph. I expected more based from 450 hp. He did say it will turn 180 degrees on it's length. It has some type of trim rails on either side down the lenght of the hull.

the military is beginning to offer these boats, of various sizes, through surplus auctions. Several were recently sold..........
