2002 SRMN 600 with a 2014 Honda BF90D in California

I have a new project rib coming so I think its time to part with my beloved grey Zodiac.

New Honda EFI 90 installed last year along with new battery, rigging and hydraulic steering. New aluminum fuel tank. Nav lights, VHF, fuel water sep. and fishfinder/GPS. I have been taking it out every week, whale watching and fishing the coast and the Farallons. 230 hours so far. Its not the best fishing boat but it will get you there and back safely. Tough enough to handle some heavy seas yet light enough to tow around with a small suv. I have it set up with a large center console but if you need more deck space, I have a Zodiac jockey steering pod you can use to essentially double your open deck area.

I am in the San Francisco area. I'm not sure where to price this package since there aren't too many comparables. I would like to get $15,500 but I am open to any offers as I will definitely need to sell her in the near future. Come check it out if you are interested.

You and Mr. Pratt need to enter a 12 step program.

12 steps x 2' at a time plus the 18' he's already got is a darn big boat. Maybe just a 6 step program, that will get them to a nice 10 meter :-)

Lol. I am just trying to keep up with you guys and your 7Ms. Jason, I am going to have to review your rebuild thread. I plan to do a bracket on this 630.

I cheated and purchased a real zodiac bracket. If I did it again I'd look harder into building a fiberglass one. Ryan has a premier fiberglass bracket maker build his. Not sure how much engineering needs to go in them. A guy on the boat building forum I frequent built one for a 28' Bertram by himself. Hasn't finished yet but he did it.

Zodiac wanted $9,000 for a new one. Or was it $7,000?? Either way...

I have the plans for the 630 bracket from Zodiac. You can probably have it built for a fraction of the price.

Your 600 is a smoking deal; should sell fast.

I hope it sells quick, I've got two 550's and I'm pricing them at $21,000 a piece. I've been promoting your boat; I want it gone too.

Good luck!

I had the 733 bracket plans too. The metal is moderately expensive (call it $1000) if you use the fancy aluminum they call for, I had bought the 3/4 engine plate. Also the plans for the 733 that are out in the wild are not the same as they way they ended up producing them.

Hermco made Ryan's brackets. They have pictures of one his boats under their custom category.

There is also another person here building theirs right in their boat.

2002 SRMN 600 with a 2014 Honda BF90D in California

Just an update for anyone who does not have the budget but would be ok with a small project.

I have a pair of Yamaha 70hp two stroke motors that can be used as power instead of the single Honda 90 (these are from the orange RIB I recently picked up). This Zodiac was made to handle twins using a factory bracket (as seen in this video: ) and twin 70s would be a perfect setup with plenty of lightweight power along with the peace of mind of two motors.

You will need to rig the motors and lay out your console/seating to suit your needs. The bare hull (no console, no steering or electronics, no jockey seat), twin Yamahas (comes with both side-mount controls, harnesses, SS props and gauges) and trailer for $8500, or $8000 if you promise to post about the completed boat and update us with your adventures (a special bond has grown and I will miss the boat).

(Thats not fading on the cowl, I just washed it down and those are reflections of the clouds.)

If anyone calls is looking for something "cheap" (and older), send them my way. I'll sell the Avon for 1/2 of that!
