Impressive but one presumes that with out the “4.3 tonnes of metal ballast” we would have just had wheel spin ?

They state no ill effects on the car. After 150yards one would hope not. Wonder how hot the brakes got mind you.

Surely then they must have uprated the suspension, cos looking at the pics it does not look like it is sitting low, and I would have thought if you stuck 4.3 Tonnes of Metal Ballast into any 4x4 it would be sat on it's bump stops on the ground, looking very poorly.

Why do they bother? - That's nothing compared to Robert Galstyan from the city of Masisa. He dragged two railway trucks on rails to the distance of 7 meters with his teeth. This achievement was shown on July, 21st, 1992 near Moscow in Scherbinka, Russia. The trucks were linked together, and their gross weight made 219 175 kg.
