vw transporter

I tow our 6.3 leeway with my VW t30 lwb 2.5 v6, plenty of power for towing, and on the concrete slipway where we launch there is allways lots of sand, but so far has been no problem. It has 6 gears mind, so perhaps a better spread of ratio`s. Also loads of room to chuck gear after, no need to pack with space in mind! I was thinking of getting a ragger 4x4 just to tow with, but really cant see the point now. Even towed the boat home from IOW all the way to Durham, and very comfy too. (sorry pics were in dark AND from my mobile..)

I used to have a Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi, the 90 hp version.
It towed really well and I never had a problem on a slipway. Loads of weight over the front wheels so loads of grip.

The newer 1.6 HDi engine has more hp but less torque than the old 2.0 HDi so I'm about to buy another.

Loads of storage space too.

I use a Volvo XC70, and i like the idea that its 4 wheel drive, never had a problem with it yet.
