I use Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's, very good. Can't seem em in your size though.
Few cheap one here although I wouldn't trust the £35 ones!

If you can find them there is nothing wrong with part worns. I would much rather a used Pirelli or Michelin than a new no name budget import.
I don't know why part worns get such bad press. After all you get part worns when you buy a used car - or when you hire one - or when you get in a taxi!!!

All depends which car they are on. My Jag used to tramline like mad with the Pirellis on. Fitted the Vredesteins and it was like a different car.
On my V70 even my wife commented on how much better the Vredesteins are.

When I had a Vectra Gsi 3L V6 on hire front tyres would last 3,000 miles - and that is with traction control ON - it was the way I went around the corners that did it!!!
Avis were great - they would send an AA mobile tyre fitter around on a regular basis.........

I've never really kept track of how long they last, more concerned with how well they grip.

Shame you can't have your cake and eat it. Either you get a tyre that lasts for ages and has no grip or you get something with masses of friction that sticks like the proverbial to a blanket but lasts a few weeks and ruins your economy.
or in the case of F1 it lasts about 30mins.............

Anything with ECO on it is a hard compound tyre and will last for years but stick to the road like a pearl necklace on a porn star.
Soft compound like yokohama will keep gripping and gripping but last around 2 good drives.
Best bet is to find a middle of the road rubber with good water displacement.
....or just stay on your boat
