as downhilldai says we have a beemer

it is the auto 740 and tows a treat and pulls out on slips no problem at all, only got stuck once and that was on slimy gravel, othwise is fine. we keep noseweight to the minimum but it tows lovely on the road

we have a saab 95 turbo front wheel drive, forget it for towing out on a slip

a volvo estate front wheel drive wasnt any better when the saab would not pull the boat out, in the end we got a chap in a landy light weight to pull it out, was on steepish gravel

we had a td5 landy and as expected that would pull up slips no matter how gravely or slimy with no probs at all, was auto as well and did not need low ratio

hope that helps
