We are thinking of an Audi S3 Quatro sportback any body got any experience of this as a tow car. Wont be tugging more than a Sr5.4

Hi Stuart

Stonking cars, I miss my Audi A4 Quattro I used to tow a lot with it and was very impressed. Unlike the Range Rover it gets to where you need to go without having a break on the hard shoulder! The other half would have serious trouble choosing something different to drive than an Audi, The dealerships are far less stuffy than that of BMW or Merc and offer in my opinion a superior service. However don’t be pulled into the S3 model, the 2lt TFSI runs the same engine, less road tax and insurance plus when she test drove the S3 in view of upgrading up-grading from the 2lt turbo there was no noticeable difference for the additional 6k new they were asking.

S3

I have a golf 1.8t chipped to 197bhp. done 90k in it with 147 k on the clock. One clutch replaced but other than that never missed a beat. Chipping is fine if done by professionals. Old man has the 2.0T S line sportback quattro. awesome engine, don't bother with s3, £400 bluefin chip takes it from 200 to 245, you wouldn't notice the difference between it and the s3. It can be turned on and off with cruise control button for different drivers or road conditions.

Towing wise, we pulled our SR5.4 with 90 optimax on for 8 years with a vauxhall calibra 2.016v. Never a problem even on slipways. Audi quattro S3 will be fine. nice choice, just don't bother with s3, more insurNce, more to buy, more likely to get stolen or keyed!

Answered your own question.
Did your MR2 have a tow bar fitted, if not go back and play on barry boys.

A small 'sports car' featuring an underpowered engine. Predominantly owned by girls & 'metro' boys. Has more show than go. examples include: celica, mx-5, s2000. occupants of these vehicles invariably buy them because they are "stylish" not because of any performance or convenience factors.

what cars you got then?

Wondered how long that would take.

Volvo V70 T5 and Land Rover Discovery tdi, I have a pipe and smoking jacket in each car although I had to subsitute the black Labrador with Whippets which look more like bulldogs and a terrier.

You still haven't told me how much to get my hair done, if I grow it till the summer will I still need the extensions?

You and chewy are so cruel, wandering the site antagonising people.

Whilst the mr2 turbo and mx6 quite clearly are fairly Chav, the mr2 at least was a fair handling sportscar for the money...though the mx6 was just cr*p!

my wife has the 1.8i sport mx5 04 plate with LSD, last of the best.

Chewy, she has a black labrador in the front seat of it She must be a northern hairdresser with tweed jacket and gold hoop earings. (country and chav)
