Honestly theyre all sensible with them!! Not gunna lie ive already low sided my bike into a verge after avoiding a car in themiddle of the road! Bent the bars, wrecked the exhaust cover, broke indicators & brake light cable. Bruised My back & neck that kiiiilled!! So i know how dangerous they are by learning the hard way

Well done on bike test, used to have a suzi drz 400, in s/m trim thought it was a great bike, sounded fantastic with a race ex fitted, only used for fun but quite quick and nimble, can be tuned and b/bore kit fitted,easy to service, but as said s/m not best bike for high miles usage.

So go for twice the power, double the insurance, fuel etc. All for an extra 10 MPH !!! Makes sense 
There's been at least 5 bikers killed in the past 6 mths in Plymouth, whilst I'm not saying each was at fault by any means not one of them was on a smaller bike, which tells its own story

just looked at some car insurance quotes & theyve halfed since a few months ago!! 1.1 saxo third party fire & theft is 1.6k insurance. the cars for sale at £780 & looks pretty clean! works out cheaper than a bike!
Might not be the best tow vechile in the world but ill build up to a disco3 one day

You could alwas buy an early and sheddy Xtz660-a good older one will be no less reliable and the Tenere version have a decent tank range.I suspect you'd get one for around 800 quid. I sold mine for 600, but it really was messy-no plastic left without cracks-most of it was held together with cableties and the whole thing was painted olive drab.
I rode may last one (K plate) from Swindon to Newcastle on Tyne and back on knobblies about 18 months ago. It's only a bit much after about 100 miles, and saves on messing around changing wheels. JUst be aware you don't have much grip and ride accordingly.

I never liked riding where it was busy. The reason I liked the supermoto was that it was fun out in the da les away from allvthe traffic. I never used mine as a mode of transport.

You know how we were saying how dangerous bikes are....well 
Just came home from swanage & going down a nice wet steep road theres a turn, turned in & thought "ooh this isnt right" ....next thing i knew im sliding down the road on my ass! luckily was only doing around 15-20mph & the bikes all fine part from maybe tiny bit bent bars. Good thing i was wearing my bike trousers too as theyve got a nice hole in them! 
just picked the bike back up, checked it over & came home. It rode fine & couldnt see anything with the torch so hopefully its fine, just wont know till morning 
Moral of the story.....Get a car.
