Excellent motor, my wife has a Four Runner, which was the UK spec one. 175k from new, and apart from a headlight bulb, brakes and tyres, it's still on original everything.

Isuzu Rodeo's well worth considering if you can't get a Toyota at the right price. Looked at the L200 and D22, L200 was ridiculously thirsty and the engines on the D22's blew up at random. Both also drove like pigs, went with the Isuzu after test driving two, had it about 3 years now and all I've put on it was an alternator after it got a bit too wet. Auto, full leather, drives like a car, bashed and scratched like a pickup.

l200

Have one of the new L200, great wagon, done some serious off roading and its a good wagon,
however, the model previous was supposed to have a lousy turning circle, and not great performance.
If i remember correct too, did the Nissan Navara not have the worst European Safety record for 4x4's ?

My bet would be save the money, but the Toyota Surf, looks in cracking shape, and you have change to do any repairs
over the next few years, any you wont feel guilty reversing her back into the soup !!!

Happy purchasing.
