Europcar

Just thought I would mention it - if anyone needs to hire a car Europcar have some amazing deals at the moment.

I shopped around and got a Mondeo from Hertz for £188 for the week. Then I found Europcar had the same class for £140 - just went to extend the hire for another week and its only £100. That is incredible for a £20,000 car with unlimited mileage - you would pay for more on lease!!!

If only it had the better engine I would keep it longer.

Mind you it makes you wonder - who would buy a Passat for over £20k when you could have a Mazda RX8 for the same money???

Because I am lazy!!!

No seriously with the mileage we sometimes have to do it's much better to wreck someone elses car............

With these prices from Europcar it's much cheaper than leasing - with a hire car it's unlimited mileage - insurance - servicing - tyres etc etc all taken care of.

not if you shopped around for your lease as much as you have for your hire.

All the figures quoted for a lease car are based on 10,000 miles per year non maintenance. They will also never cover insurance.

Once the mileage starts increasing the rates rise dramatically. In fact the top amount they will allow is 60,000 miles a year - with a hire car it's unlimited although Europcar did get very ratty with me in the past - not doing quite so many miles this time but still over 1,000 a week.
