Driving License

Not sure if I've posted about this on here already but a couple of weeks ago my dad was chatting to a local bobby. He was telling him about the photo driving licenses and how they expire.
On the front of the license is an expiry date. When I got home I checked my license to find it expired this year! Bloody good job I was told about it. The reason they expire (so I'm told) is to make sure they have up to date information and photos'.
So check your license. Mine expired after 6 years.

Mine doesn´t expire until 2031 and picture was taken when 27 when we had the new plastic cards and I will still be goodlooking lad at age of 70 when it expires

Theres usually two expiry dates on the photocard licence.

The one on the front is when the photocard runs out, and has to be renewed (basically to keep it up to date with a good photo)

The second is on the back, and relates to when your licence as a whole runs out (i.e. when your 70)

Are you sure your not looking at the wrong date?

I had to renew mine this year. They usually send you the documents to do it a month or two in advance)

Mines good for another 7 years. That said, the rate at which I get through them (usually whilst intoxicated) I won't have to worry!

No it is fully valid until 02.09.2031 when I will be 70, and there are no expire date for the picture, and got chief of police in this morning (we get them in here rgularly for coffee) and I asked him about this and he said no need to renew photos on our driving licence.

Like said earlier I will be handsom looking fella at 70 on the licence

Again other countries have more relaxed laws than here and sometimes that's a good thing!
