discovery 2 tax bands

Hi, I am confused.
I am looking at a discovery 2003 ved tax band.
According to the Co2 emissions (284g/Km) it should be £435 a year.
But when I do a search on the DVLA website using the vehicle registration, it says it should be £245 a year.
Would a kind member please tell me what the correct VED is.

Thanks, Nick.

could be the difference between the petrol and diesel version and not correctly categorised on their website .. IMVV..........VVHO only the biggest petrols get hit with that tax band .. ie 3.5 litre or above (or thereabouts)

Its £245. Cars registered before 23rd March 2006 with emissions over 225g/km all fall into band K rather than L or M.

All Discovery II's should be £245 as they were registered before the 2006 cutoff date.

Thanks for that, I was being told the higher figure for a 2003 by a dealer, who should know better.
