I must be quite lucky with my 2005 commercial D3, Had to do the Egr Valves in December but touch wood ,nothing else major so far after 180000KM.
Obviously there are lots of bushes that need doing now and then but that is the price you pay for the complicated suspension system. Highly recommend the general grabber at2's
that are on currently, great all round tyre.

So....I've heard people say that the later D3 is more reliable / better than the early ones - now how late do I need to go to get one of these?

Are big miles are worry with these?
Is full dealer history worth much more that a good independent?
Whats the top size of wheels before they lose all off road ability / comfort?
I run a D3, very impressed.
I can confirm (after doing my research prior to buying one) that improvements were made in 06 and then again in 08. The local LR dealership said that prior to 08 could be troublesome.
I’ve had many, many LR’s and the D3 is a great piece of kit, I tow a ski and a Predator RIB, you wouldn’t know you had anything on the back if it wasn’t for the mirrors!
I might be selling mine (D3 09 HSE, 36K, FSH, all the BS, Auto, 19’s and still under LR warranty till this August – which can be extended).

Regards

Lee
