Citroen HDI pressure switch £300!

My local garage has informed me that the diagnostics has thrown up a fault with the pressure switch that is mounted on the rail, apparently this switch is not available separately and comes with the rail for 300 quid! and I thought Tohatsu parts were expensive.

Eesh...salvage/dismantlers? This is for me where the internet comes into it's own: tracking down good cond. spares.

Before paying out for diagnostic faults showing up on a Citroen, I would try a bsi reset.. BBA-reman. It has cured numerous faults with my C5.. Electronic faults that only a Citroen owner can come to love.. I would give them a ring first to make sure the reset is applicable to your model, they may also be able to help with cheaper spares..
