Citroen dispatch combi
Wife wants a Citroen dispatch combi 2ltr, 9 seater LWB to replace our VW transporter shuttle (8 seater) 19TD LWB.
Anyone know anything about them, good or bad?
Never took much notice of Citroen ever since I borrowed one for a week 14 years ago and had to put hydraulic fluid init ever day.

I have a Citroen 2006 2.0 HDI van that i bought with the intention of converting into a camper.
They are good vans and are Peugeot engined. Peugeot Expert, Fiat Scudo and Citroen Dispatch are the same vans just re branded. As chewy said would keep the VW.

She's never liked it because it's too much like a Van in looks And when I mentioned it's a little under powered and I'd like to get a second car to tow the RIB she got onto looking at cars and decided she wants to change this one. For a quiet life mate I'd drive around in a Fiat Panda.
The Combi does have abit more room in it.

Four wheel drive the Pandas too!
I personally wouldn't have another Peugeot/Citreon. What other stuff has she looked at?

It's the 2ltr version she was looking at, think it was the 126 (?) BHP? I've read that they have a pug engine in them which won me over a bit.
I love the VW, great to drive, takes me 10 min to take out all the bench seats to use as a van. Bad points are, it's under powered, need the bigger diesel and it's heavy on fuel.
If it was me I'd be going for a LWB 4X4 but sadly they don't do the with enough seats and she doesn't like them anyway

No experiance of newer pugs, but the old ones where great. last pug I used was the 306 TDi and it went like a rocket.
She's not looked at any others yet. Once she sets her sites on somat it's hard to get her to change her mind.

Get a bigger engined VW but not in black. I think thats part the reason it looks like a van. Same reason our lasses black Volvo looks like a hearse!

Could be a selling point but then I'd have to pay extra for the painted bumpers and things where as with the black I got away with just having the black plastic with out her moaning.
I'm making her sound like a right pain in the arse here aren't I?
Well she ucking is!!
