How does your Ferrari tow?
What about an Audi A8??? It's a 4x4 and about the same offroad............

.....yeah it says that on "Petrol station" forecourts here too....but that's not where you wanna be buying it from. Find Flogas/AutoGas/Farm outlets..and pay the proper price.

Spot on Hugh... I know my X5 would be shit off road, and use other vehicles for that when I need to, its a niche product for some of us, to be sure but its a cracking road car, as much as it is a tow vehicle, it has a nice weight to balance whatever I've towed with it, you wont read that in a hand book, but once you've used it you just know !........... and it does 0-60 in 7 seconds ... shit did I already say that ? .......

*Edit* plus you'll struggle to find a better built motor IMO excepting Audi

Is that the 3.0L D you've got there? What kind of MPG do you get?

<edit> Just checked Gas website and find you can still pay as little as 41p/litre in this area...
aaaahhh thats nice

i would love a gas petrol or a nice big diesel pusher, a few friends get 6mpg out of theirs and they are not converted but they do sound great

have been thinking carefully about a nice arv, around 34 ft would be fine but finding one with the right layout, 3 or 4 slides and a garage that is not tooo large is a real struggle

i love em too, did you consider the 4.6 or 4.8? i am most tempted by the 4.6 but if i could get a seriously chipped 3.0d that would be great. i need to chop in the 7 soon and am considering the x5 or m5, trouble is i know the x5 will tick all the boxs with the boat

Funny you should say that, mine is the 4.6 iS which I'm about to sell, but I test drove the new 4.8 M Sport and it just doesnt seem as fast. They say it is faster because they've now got a 'double clutch' in the auto box which makes the shift faster, but it just didn't feel as quick when I floored it, maybe its cos it was new, but it did surprise me. I get a thrust in the seat from the 4.6 that the 4.8 didnt seem to have. dunno why ? That said it blows all the other 4X wannabes off the map, supercharged Rangie included, only the Porsche Cayenne turbo, which I have never driven can rival it anyways it tows like a dream and thats my main consideration, rear air auto levelling suspension and learning gearbox, it is a tool to behold Doh I already said that somewhere

Why don't you just get 'em out onto the table and measure 'em. You know you want to.
