Chill man!

Celebrate being a Kia owner and pity those of us having to suffer Land Rover ownership.

Actually I looked into this when comparing various vehicles, I don't tend to change my tow vehicle very often.
The first three years of Sorento ownership you would be as well standing in the shower tearing up tenners. The depreciation is fearfully large. However after three years it slows down and drops at approx the same amount as a Landy of similiar cost.
I bought a three year old vehicle at around 50% of new cost, for the same money it would have been a five year old equivalent. since depreciation drops at the same amount from now and the vehicles are worth much the same in two, three ten or 12 years old I reckon I am better off. The actual vehicle is still two years younger all the way through this time.
My only reservation as I said will be longevity and in a few years I'll have a better idea of this, other than that I don't regret the choice of vehicle despite having a badge that apparently tells eveyone I have a big c**ck. I think that what you meant surely?

Do you think that's wise? Remember your last run-in with the Itches of Lerwick!

Boot floor did for mine last MOT. Engine fine at 320000 miles though. Ah, now I remember though, the synchros in the gearbox were shot.

You might try a nissan patrol diesel, ours at work is 10 yrs old with about 120k on the clock and although it hasn't had a hard life its been pretty good. The only major expense has recently been a gearbox rebuild, cost 2K but its got plenty of room, is good on the beach/camp sites and seems to tow well.

Driven gently I think it can do around 30mpg! Its also the only car I can drive from the south of england to skye and not get out of with back ache. With its leather seats its easy to keep clean and has aircon/ heated seats etc.
