Can't believe I'm suggesting one of these. Went to the Artic Circle with one this year and it never missed a beat. Although I did have to winch it out twice with my Land Rover !

Seem to be good cars and good spec for the money.

Hilux -
Toyota Hi-Lux INVINCIBLE 3.0 D4D AUTO+LEATHER+SAT NAV+HARDTOP VIDEO ON WEBSITE 4dr
110 - nice, but a hard drive if you're towing distances. Easy front towhitch fitout. Turning circle of the Queen Mary. Slightly over budget.

Disco - A gentleman's conveyance. In budget.

Hilux - nice drive, interior apparently styled by Citroen. Will be called the Talivan. 1712 over budget.

I ran a Mitsubishi Challenger for three years in the French Alps. It was 4 years old when I bought it and it was a brilliant vehicle. Friends of mine have land rovers, some have had problems some have not - whilst I'm sure they are sturdy vehicles I think the Japs vehicles are more comfortable and fully loaded....incoming !
