Well I guess it's "done" now, as much as a boat can be done. got my little storage locker done. It attached with some hatch dogs I had leftover so I can move it to the center for lots of tanks, 8, or to the left for more storage space. Weight belts, air pump and flares below in a dry box, then room for 6 little dry boxes for whatever. There are lids for each compartment.

Tonight it's new glass! Fresh off the water jet. Of course I realized I forgot to have him cut a hole for the wiper I don't have. Perhaps I won't need a wiper? Oh well. I'll have to get that and have the t-top guy fabricate a bracket first. I'll deal with that next summer. I'll just try Rain-x first.
Hopefully this cuts down the wind a bit.

Numbers....50+ mph at WOT, I think that was about 6200 rpm. Cruises nicely 25-35 mph depending on chop. At those speeds it gets just over 3mpg.
Unfortunately my super cool new windshield cracked around one if the bolt holes. It's up high so I'll ignore it for now. I have another piece to cut and the water jet guy has the program.

rubber bushings
you should install rubber bushings on the bolts that pass through the glass so the vibration is absorbed by the rubber and not the glass. they need to be evenly torqued but not tight so the window has 0 movement. Not sure if you knew this or not but we sound out the hard way so sharing some past experience.

Yeah, I had nylon washers and the mounting tabs weren't perfectly square so a bit too much and, plink, a crack. Yes, this is how we learn things. I'm just winging this windshield, it was an afterthought when I realized that 30+ mph makes your eyes water and is much colder than 20mph. Fortunately auto glass is cheap and it's a friend with the water jet.
Some good soft rubber washers between the mounting tabs and the glass should help.

yeah but it scratches. I'll keep giving this a try and see where I get. If I can't get it to not break directly bolting it then I might give a frame a try.

I am considering getting into a Willard, so I read this thread and clloyd's build thread.
You guys are inspirational! I love those boats, and I am amazed at how mch goes into them... and as overwhelming as a build seems, you guys are awesome with your commitment to the process.
