Thanks Ryan, it was real easy with the deck ring.
So I had a bit of fun with my tubes this weekend. I decided to replace all my old A7 valves with new C7 valves after I gummed up some of the old ones with the internal sealant and trying to replace the internal rubber bits again led to much cursing, a sour attitude, and an abrupt purchase.
Everything went fine Friday until i was screwing together the last valve. I found the internal part (nope didn't forget it) but couldn't get it to slide over to the hole, something was holding it up. so I inflated the tube section next to it to gain a little space and I can hear the internal part bouncing around there IN THE NEXT TUBE SECTION!!!!
What???? I figured I must have a huge tear in the internal baffle that the part fell though. I had the tubes draped over a table so I didn't have to do it on the ground, it must have slid down. Now how the heck am I going to find that tear and get the part back through?? So I inflated the other tube section with the part in it again and waited, it held air for two days, I guess it doesn't have a tear?
Fortunately I had to go out of town for the weekend and couldn't mess with the tubes or do anything stupid with them for two days. Today I got up early and went out and found the correct internal part at the other end of the tube section.
Turns out there is a loose part in the bow section....
But it was in there from somebody else, not me, I never noticed it in there. I guess it's going to stay in there as that section is drum tight and I'm not cutting into it to remove it until it causes a problem.
