WANTED: Used 25/30hp two-stroke

I'm watching ebay and craigslist but any additional info on procuring one would be great.

25 or 30 hp
Pull start
Tiller steer
Lightweight (I'm thinking that this precludes any if the newer 4-strokes. And heck, I'm looking on the cheaper end).

I found somewhere it says max transom weight of 75kg....only some brands of 30hp would even qualify, and then, only barely. I'm thinking old two-stroke just because the boat was so cheap, I'm not putting a super expensive engine on it.

Ah. You discussed the boat elsewhere, as I recall.

CL and E-bay are probably your most accurate real-time resources; Boat Trader magazine and something like Latitude 38 (should be available at chandlers) might help as well.

Yep. I bought it on a whim for a couple of hundred buck. It's all clean now and rolled up in the garage. I'm not in any rush to outfit it and will just keep my eyes open for an engine.
