Sorry, Nos; mislead you a bit.

Ponce is a city (or area, anyway) on the island of Puerto Rico. Named for Ponce de Leon (which I wouldn't have figured out.)

Interestingly Ponce is being (or has been) fitted with a Laser Weapon System (LaWS) designed to interdict drones and small watercraft.
