Ocean Eco is the fellow here who can give you some good info on these. I did go on a whale watching tour in a 24' Titan once. Extreme heavy duty commercial construction on these ribs - very impressive!

Titan

I googled them and came up with a single page flyer. Couple of SIBS and one RIB. These are advertised as "tenders" and only show young children with oars. No mention made of OB rating although they look like they wouldn't take over 5hp.

I don't know if you've seen one in person and or know how their price stacks up against better known brands but I wasn't too impressed from the pics.

Pretty hefty name for such a minimal vessel if I may be so bold as to address their marketing strategy.

I have spent lots of time on them. Some powered with twin 225,s as well as 250's. They are well made and I do know where there is one that is for sale with about 600 hours on the whole package. What did you want to know about them?

There is also another company that makes alum ribs right down the road from Titan here is a link http://www.liquidmetalmarine.com/ Kristy and Dave do great work as well.

There sure is a lot of cross pollination on trade names out there!

I talked to Titan when I was speccing out my boat. They worked up a base price for the hull, but it appeared to be a bit further out of my budget than Polaris was, so I didn't really pursue it any further. They seem to like bigger hulls than I was looking for (though that may be just my perception.)

TItan rib's

Thank's for all the info.
I am looking around for a good rib,I have been to Ribcraft factory.Very well made. I just feel they are over priced For a 7.8 loaded your in the 120000,for that kind of money I'm gonna keep looking for the perfect boat (for me).

Titan goes head to head with Hurricane and I have seen a few being used by the RCMP and the Coasties.

They actually had one on display at the Toronto Boat Show and I asked the Mountie what they thought of it... His only comment was that "It's no Hurricane", but couldn't really spell out what he didn't lieke about it. Perhaps just familiarity with Hurricane...

From what I have seen, they're pretty robust and a good-looking boat...
