suspension jockey seat

i wonder if this jockey seat is any good? kinda looks like an ejection seat.

Looks to me like a very effective but midevil way of losing a finger or other valued body parts.

If you were to use that seat, you might need to change your user name to "Columbiachopped"

maybe an icebox in the base of the seat to catch the severed appendages would be wise.

I'm not familiar with the seat, but Adrenaline Marine is one of the highest quality custom aluminum fabricators in North America, often contracted by Zodiac to produce their custom boats and special projects....they did much of the work on the boat I used for my circumnavigation in the early 90's. If they produced it my guess is that it's worth serious consideration.

The spring/damper doesn't have enough travel to allow for any chopping action between the seat and the base.
