Ah how would it be for our Ribnet brethren to the North if not for the highly trained professionals known as the Ontario Provincial Police? Why at any given moment they must spring into action to save the lives of boaters (that's you Stoo) threatened by the killer waters of the Great White North! Just recently our professionals were called upon to expertly launch their vessel to save the day, we have captured (stolen) a few images for the enlightenment of our Ribnet members, be assured you will be safe on the beautiful waters of Ontario because they are ready in any situa... oh wait... the valiant are afloat in pic one but there seems to be a problem... hmmm... pic two there is an officer in the water and what's that behind him?? pic three... oh.. I get it, nothing like being prepared for any outcome, they have also launched the latest in high tech, a submersible SUV!! Damn those guys are good!!

We all need to work for that outfit to help train those people... They are running three boats out of my Marina, couple of 32 ft inflatables and a 39 ft Midnight express (nice boat!) I was launching my boat with my kid in tow and we got to watch five of these guys try repeatedly to put one of the 32's on a trailer. A little addition this, the boat in your post is a 39 Midnight Express as well, seems this is what they are buying and running in addition to the big ribs as well. I ran one of these in Miami at the boat show about six years back, it is a tremendously well built boat and can run really well in the slop. The one in your post, does it have quad 225 Mercs? I would imagine they are equipping them all the same and that company is making a ton of money! One of my friends talked to one of the guys (H.S.) who said that the rib, which has triple 225 Mercs was like being in a salt shaker, that it was too rough a ride.. Huh??? Must be tough to suffer like that in that nice a boat...

God help them if they are chasing some people who DO know what they are doing in bad conditions - doesn't matter how good their boats are if they don't read the waves right they've had it!!!

pacific seacraft boats have a huge following on the east coast.

yeah, codders that was heartbreaking about that little boy. what a bunch of idiots. i'm sure that wasn't standard procedure.

You are absolutely right about that Cod, it also helps if you learn basic boat handling skills first...

The pic on the right looks like a Fountain to me, pointy bow and shape of the forward deck. Either that or a similar twin engined go-fast.

Some of these cops are pretty fu**king stupid. Just the same I am sure the officer responsible must be sick at the thought of what he had accidently done. What a tragedy for everyone involved... just think how the grandfather felt and then having to tell the parents about the accident.

"Some"? I reckon most!!! I often used to watch the Scariest Police Chases with John Burnell. It's amazing the way he would even make the most stupid policeman look like a hero. I remember in one chase the cop rammed the suspects car into a petrol station - the car was on fire against a petrol pump and the place was next to a school. Then the "hero" cop shunts the burning car away from the pumps. If he hadn't rammed it in the first place...........

Seriously though, that's fricken hilarious! It looks like they rolled back and the bow of the boat is still attached to the trailer. Good thing they had the stern straps off of the boat might be under too!

I think I just might print these pics out and keep them on my boat. The next time I'm pulled over for a "Courtesy Inspection" (i.e.: We're pulling you over for an illegal/unwarranted search...) and they take exception to something on my boat, I can whip them out just for the reaction!

A much better idea! That way they get the humiliation, without any overt action on your behalf to annoy them and cause them to find "violations".
