That's hilarious.... I'm a little old school I'm afraid. Basic, AI, Instructor then Instructor Trainer. My last few logs are just Wet Notes books. When I'm away diving, most DMs realize that my gear is older than they are and after a day, just send me on my way.

Up here in Canada, charter operators don't even ask for a C-Card. They will want one for a fill, but if you show up with a truck load of gear and the right attitude, you're all set. (So far the lawyers aren't in charge up here... there's a still a high expectation of taking responsibility for ones own actions!)
