stolen

Was asked to post this help add. Good thing is there are few Metzeler boats around; bad news is it's easy to hide something that can be folded down and put in a truck of a car. I'll see if she has any pics of it.

Any chance it wasn't "anchored" properly? Maybe he should be looking downstream...

waiting for pics

I asked the lady to send some pics and I'll post them. I also gave her the link to this forum so she can keep an eye on any comments that come in. From her post and reward I would say the boat is sentimental to hem.

Right on Stoo

Hi, thanks for your help. The RCMP called this morning. They were contacted this morning by some guys in an airboat who found dad's boat downriver. They hauled the boat up to Saskatoon and met the RCMP and dad in the city. Dad was sooooo happy. They wouldn't even take a cent for their trouble. I guess there still are some good people out there. Again thanks for your support. Take care and happy boating.

$Gas

Let us know if you save much on gas with the new one. Wondering if the savings in gas makes up for the output for motor.

The math as I see it: Currently spending $1000 tops annually on boat gas. Presumed savings: 30% or $300 plus $150 on oil. (Yamaha says 40% fuel... )

Cost of engine, less trade, including tax, installation etc.: $11,677.00

So, in only 25.9 years, it'll pay for itself!

But I'll be spewing cleaner stuff, be quieter, and (hopefully) nice and reliable.

Mostly, I am also looking forward to a greater range... for delivering cakes to friends that are further away and the like!

Where are those lads from Chicago? They probably have a route all plotted out.... The Gulf to Panama might be interesting over the next few days, but I still need to get up Huron, down Michigan, down that really big river... It would be a fun cruise though... although I think I might pass on the roast water moccasin or whatever they ate...
