Protector

So I have a shop full of boats and a Marina but don't own a personal boat. This just changed yesterday.
I bought a 2002 Protector 28 with twin 150hp Yamaha. (only 304hrs)

The old girl needs some love. The boat will need a re-tube in the next couple of years.

Congrats!

That is a really nice looking boat! I like the pilothouse, especially since you are in the northeast.

Beautiful boat, but I've seen a few in my New England waters, and for some reason the tubes often look pretty sad for their age. Don't get it, it's a high end boat yet the tubes don't last.

That's Silver Fern. She's had some tube work.

The Protector used to be my cabin rib of choice until I spotted this PARKER RIBS
The Baltic Cruiser with the big engine option would be a fine thing.

Great boat Kiwiboyd, congratulations!!

I bought one a couple years ago, with the 225 Verados. Take it whalewatching with the family and sometimes to work. Doesn't exactly sip gas like the Ribcraft did, and not quite as much fun when wave hopping, but she's an incredible girl in her own way. Very solid. Have hit 49 knots.

I do agree with ribfan that my blue tubes aren't as dark and shiny as the Ribcraft ones, but I don't know why.

That Baltic Cruiser is pretty sweet too. Twin diesels = nice. Curious what displacement is. Not mentioned on the site, but probably over 10,000 lbs.
