You have some terrific wreck diving on your side of Huron. The Dunderberg is one of my all-time favorites and the area around Alpena is amazing as well. I have been tempted to make the run from Tobermory to Alpena from time-to-time, but it's a long haul!

I enjoyed the thread! We already have a agreement on splitting costs (we already do that for gas money for whoever drives). I don't expect to break even but all and any contributions will be accepted! We normally are out diving every weekend anyway, this expands our horizons quite a bit. We are all shipwreck junkies so are all 'tech' divers so we can dive the deeper wrecks. Now I won't need to pay the extremely high charter prices so should be able to dive these wrecks much more often

LOL, I suspect that in the short term, the charters are a lot less expensive that owning your own boat, but it's having the freedom to dive wherever you want, whenever you want. I drag my boat from Whitefish to The Empress... can't beat it!

Introduction
Hello,
My name is John and I live in Vancouver. I have a small RIB, Bombard 385 that I am working on. Someday I would like to move up to a larger RIB.
I use it mainly to fish the waters of the Pacific Northwest. Currently, I am converting from a tiller to a remote.
I look forward in chatting and possibly meeting some of you on the water.

Yeah, I would say that I agree with your observation. I have on this site for the past year or two and there are some interesting topics.
But owning a RIB is definitely not everyone's cup of tea. But it works for me and what I do... and my budget for now.... My two little girls take up most of my funds...

Hello all
I’m Donnie I live in Auburn, WA about 20 miles south of Seattle. I have a 6.5M Mako with twin Tohatsu 90’s. I keep it on a trailer for mobility.
I mainly use the boat for diving and it’s in the sound some where pretty much every weekend. With the occasional fishing trip or cruise into the San Juan Islands.
Well good RIBing to everyone out there with any luck maybe we could get a couple trips put together on the west coast.

Well I made it out today... It was a bit windy on the Columbia River, but the RIB did well for the first time out with the new setup.
Just a few more details like the lights and gluing on the boat numbers and it's done.

LOL... And it's been a very mild winter until recently! I can't take it any more though... Heading to the Caribbean in a week!
