No Banks in the USA will loan on RIBS

As far as i can tell.. You cant get a bank as far as the eye can see to lend money on ribs, unless you buy a zodiac or an avon. Unfortunately i am not buying one of those.

Any Ideas ?

Stick an Avon badge on the one you are going to buy

Kind of a skimpy post if you're not saying who you've been through.

Try BoatUS, lenders referred from Boats.com, and other marine lenders rather than your local bank.

Quality is Poor, the Loan out lasts the boat.
shipping is a joke, if your not gettin ripped off, your stuff is gettin wrecked.

Boat Loans

I'm no expert that's for sure but when talking to a lender some time ago he said they loved boat loans. A guy would keep up payments on his boat even if he couldn't make child support payments.

Hey, beer, boat, fishing pole vs housing, children, medical bills, one has to have his priorities in the correct order

Ha!

This reminds me trying to borrow money from a bank for my first underwater camera when I was 17 (My Dad wouldn't even lend the money!) By the third bank, my camera had morphed into universtity text books!

When I was a student I wanted a bank loan to buy a skydiving rig. The bank manager asked me whether I considered it an essential purchase, so I pointed out that I would almost certainly die if I jumped without it!

Key Bank offers loans

I got my loan through Key Bank. Key Bank does all the loans for Zodiac. You just have to tell them that the RIB you are buying is the same as a Zodiac and they eventually figure it out. If the customer service rep gives you a hard time, ask to speak with the underwriter.

When I purchased my Ribcraft, the folks at Ribcraft here in the states recommended J Boat Loans, I think their URL is jboatloans.com
