very good idea as that is one very good rib.

Unfortunately you guys do not have a great choice. You either have to opt for an ex-military Willard 7 mtr or a ZH733. Both no doubt good performers only at what cost. The Willard in most cases comes with a mighty Cummins 5.9 and jet drive which takes up most of the deck so very little imagination for the deck layout. I know I am going to repeat myself what I have said much earlier on a different thread - the US designed and made consoles are not what I would like on my rib.

Enough said from me. I do hope this thread has helped you in making your mind up which way to go. Hopefully it will not put you off ribbing.

Has nobody actually looked at Lifeproof Boats? These things look rather good to me.

Hopefully they are built better than the Lifeproof cellphone cases.

lifeproof boats

I don 't understand the logic of the performance fin's underneath the collar. You have a sharp entry, only to make it very blunt exactly when it's needed > when it's submerged in a wave. That will not give a smooth ride in any sort of wave.

In the corners the boat in the video seems to slide a lot, but that might be misinterpretation. It does stay upright, possibly due to the performance fin's but the motion of the boats seems forced. Seatrials highly recommended!

I think that a cabin on a RIB this length is just not possible. A wheelhouse: OK.
But this is a 30+ ft boat with four seats, a small open area and a cabin that will be close to useless. (no room for insulation so too hot during the day, and dripping with condensation at night if they found room for a bunk in there) It is telling that here is not a single picture of the interior layout on the site... You can't stand in that cabin so going to the bow will be quite awkward.

I like big RIBs with a well hidden and usable toilet, but for me this seems like a compromise that doesn't work out well for a leisure RIB.

Never had a problem with mine & it has a hard life. Are you buying genuine or cheap rip offs?
