Looking for a slip in San Diego

I'm reconditioning an ex-Navy 10 meter RIB and will be looking for a slip in the San Diego area while I finish electronics and cosmetics. I expect it to be ready for the water sometime in March, and would appreciate hearing of any slips that may be available while I finish the work and offer it for sale. A place to keep the trailer will also be needed. I don't need anything fancy, just a place to work with electricity and water for 2-4 months. Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated. Here's what a similar boat looks like underway.....

I reckon that when that hits the water pathalla might have to rename his boat from "war machine" to "slight disagreement machine"

Sunrider congratulations I was looking at bidding on that but wouldn’t have any money left to fix it up if I bought it. Just out of curiosity how do the motors run?

I saw no evidence of significant problems with the engines or jets when I inspected it, but I'm having everything checked out now and should hear soon what needs to be done in addition to routine upgrades and maintenance.

I was surprised when I saw it because it's actually much bigger and more heavy duty than the pictures convey. I just finished reconditioning a 30' ex-military Novamarine with a similar engine/jet setup, so was surprised at how much more boat this one is. It has twin 400-430 Cummins turning Hamilton 292 jets, and is rated for 46 passengers according to the specs - I'm much more familiar with the 7-8 meter range so this really seems huge. I'm looking forward to some water time!

When I saw that thing I went searching and found some of the original specs…it just made me want it more. But along with no money left to fix it the damn thing also weighs in at about 20,000 pounds I would need a new truck to tow it. I’m jealous it’s a hell of nice outfit. If you have the time and will I would love to see a photo’s of it as you progress through the over haul.

did you get a slip sorted?
I saw a large military RIB inthe Koehler/Kettner dockyard yestrday and wondered if that was you ?

There was some vandalism to the boat before i removed it from the military lot and I'm getting that issue resolved before beginning work, so my need for a slip is delayed. I've gotten some good suggestions for a slip, but nothing firm yet. My guess is that I will be needing it this summer sometime, but could be sooner. thanks for the interest.

I returned the boat for full refund of my cost....I may get it again later, but for now the project is on hold. In the meantime I did get another boat for reconditioning...this one is a 1999 24' Willard with 315hp Cummins and a Hamilton 247 jet drive.....just got it home from San Diego last night. I'm working on this and two other boats now (a Zodiac Hurricane 733 and an Avon 5.4) so am not unhappy about the delay with bigger boat. thanks for the interest....

froghauler The new models have the cats the first batch of boats came from a different supplier and came with cummins. I found all the links when i was looking to bid on it but can't seem to find them now. But A search on google will find it with some looking.

Froghauler, I just noticed the description of your boat. Is yours the Interim RHIB with twin Iveco's and PP jets? If yes, I've reconditioned a couple of those and would very much like to see pictures of your boat if you have any available. thanks. bryan

I havn't changed my profile. It's "My" old boat that you're familiar with. I believe it was either 30RB9112 or 9113.

That must be the one I saw in San Diego. If so it does have the dive door like the one I posted in your other thread.

I have two 733's at the moment but neither have the divers door.
