Lake Mead nr Las Vegas

Off to Las Vegas in November. Thinking about renting a boat, maybe even a houseboat, on Lake Mead.

Has anyone been there that can offer hints and tips?

Any advice gratefully received.

I have been to lake mead and hired a jet ski

You could get upto the back of the Hoover Dam but that was pre 9/11

Fantastic place and I was the only one on the water when I was there

The hire shop had loads of different types of craft

Im sure a google search will find them

Great place. Have spent a couple of vacations there on bothh my own boat and a houseboat. It is hot in summer so get a h/boat with AC. About 4 marinas but most folks with houseboats moor up in asmall cove. There are hundreds of them. Try Echo Bay marina for houseboats.
