New tubes have arrived. The hull is stripped of the console, bolster, arch and most of the foam has been removed from the hull. Unfortunately some of it was water logged so it had to go. Also working to enlarge the fuel capacity. The factory 45 Gallons is not enough.

Yep...I replaced the factory tanks on my 640's with 55 gallon tanks that were made for a 20' Scarab, worked great!

They came out of a couple of salvaged boats, but there are probably more size choices available now...

Finally got some downtime to get back to the project. The hull is completely stripped including fuel tank and tube tracks. The factory 43 gallon tank is going to be replaced with a new aluminum 65 gallon tank . The arch is going to the fabricators to be modified a bit. I have a new aluminum Hurricane console on the way to replace the old one as well.

The hull has now been flipped so we can fair the bottom and barrier coat it more easily. Really not in bad shape for a boat that was run by the government for twenty plus years.

This is so much easier than having to work under a trailer.

Finally got back on this project a couple months ago after a long hiatus. Customer projects pushed this one aside.
