Duncan,

I pulled the prop off and this is what it reads on the inside:
10 3/8 x 13 G. The engine is a 2009 50HP 2 stroke.

@Jonny since you asked: Raymarine A50 GPS and secondary iphone iNavX software. With my old 40HP 2 stroke she topped out at 42 knots WOT with a 38x1.3 P prop. Next time you're in manhattan shoot me an email - you're welcome aboard.

I can see this debate becoming a Did/Didn't kinda argument.

48 knots on a SR4 with a Yammie 50 is Guinness Book of Records material - the upper end reported for this rig (on here) is below 40kts, mid 30's being typical. There's not much SR4 left in the water at 35kts. I guess that explains some of the replies you've got/are going to get.

Like Guinness, an independent witness or a video is going to be needed to convince readers that this is the real deal.

Then, you'll be a kind of Searider God on here

yup 48 knots (Kts) as in 55.2 Mph = 88.9 Km/h = 24.7 m/s. It's an old searider 4m bought in germany in 1986.

I'll shoot you guys video the next time I'm out - most likely this Wednesday. You're right about not much hull being in the water --I've uploaded 2 pictures to the 'RIB PHOTOS' tab.

I maybe new to small boats but approaching 35kts in my 4.5m was starting to get a bit hairy, approaching 50 in a 4m would require balls of steel - looking forward to vid.

48 km/ph maybe? 30 mph give or take.

Max theoretical speed using 5500 rpm, 1.85 ratio, 13 in pitch is 37 mph. This would be with no prop slip. SR 4 re-writes the laws of physics. Prop would need to be a 21 at least.

Looking forward to the video......
