Fastest 12' RIB?

Hi Guys. Thinking of buying around a twelve foot hypalon RIB for use here in the states. A monohull seems like it would be drier than a cat. It would be used on our saltwater bay here in Rhode Island. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank-You. Louie

Fastest, as far as I know was one that John Kennett (I think) posted on here from a boat show in the UK a few years ago. As I recall, it was 12.5', and had an inboard 150hp motor. 70 mph or so, if I remember right.

Probably a little over the top though.

12 foot is quite small, at that size you are loking at yacht tenders or explorers. it would probably be something out of the Avon yacht tender range. one of the jet ribs or high powered delux tenders. at 4 meters (13 1/2 ftish) you start getting in to normal lay out ribs that are much more usable, apart from of course the bombard aerotek 3.80.
