Damn, I hate when this happens!

That's it. It's official. Four feet of snow has been plowed into the ramp. Summer is over!

Just 3 1/2 weeks 'til my first ski trip of the season!

Lucky sod - swap for our weather anyday - constant high winds - up to 101mph and torrential rain - if all that rain had turned to snow we would be about 20' under by now!!!

Snow = 4x4 fun - skidoo fun - skiing fun - just fun with a capital F!!!

Come visit Winnipeg this winter! Around here, the capital F that's used to describe our weather does'nt stand for fun, it stands for"F***ing Freezing!"

No argument there Cod... It's the "between seasons" I don't care for. I haven't been diving for a month, and it will be almost a month before skiing starts in ernest. The worst of it is that the SO figures she has an 8 week window for me to do the chores I've been dodging all year!

I hear you guys have it pretty rough temperature wise.. Some years ago I met some very lovely Canucks in Cancun on vacation in January, all bikinied out, said they were from Alberta, they told me they spend most of the winter wearing snowmobile suits when out and about, now that has to be brutal!

Here's what Beach Party in Manitoba looks like during early springtime.

I think the Victoria's Secret store in Winnipeg is the only one that sells one-piece red long johns. No doubt about it though, if a woman looks hot in a snowmobile suit, then she must be HOT!

I would agree, although I think they generally look hottest in their BIRTHDAY suits, as I think we all can agree... How bout ya Cod, what do you think?

Stoo you and Tuber don't have to answer, I "know" what you Canucks think and do around birthday suits, I've partied with enough of you on boats to know with absolute certainty...

Ramp's open here

I knew there were a couple of good reasons why I moved South 20-some years ago. I'd spent enough -30F days in Minneapolis! Love to boat, and this is the best season in SW Florida. Catch the sunny, calm days between cool fronts and this is a tough place to dislike. Then there's the summer That's when I'd rather be in Canada!

Thanks for that vote of confidence John, all the Canucks I have met on the Great Lakes like GIRLS!!! They like women almost as much as beer and that's impressive! They like their beer better because it tastes better and it doesn't bitch. We don't have anyplace quite like San Francisco or L.A out here, I guess I can understand your confusion. :>)

North America?

Boys, reading your posts makes me quite sure that the North part of the title of this forum does not apply to me and truth be known..I'm not sure the America part does either!!!

The only place ice is appropriate is in a twelve ounce glass..in my humble opinion. The coldest thing I've seen here in some time was the shoulder I got from a cutie at the pool hall the other night that just wasn't interested.

Refer to Stoo's Reason # 23:

"23. A frigid beer is a good beer."

There you go, thinking small again... Booze comes in a 750ml bottle for a reason, dammit!

Yes I agree heartily.

Tomas rule #24: That's what a refrigerator is designed to produce. Don't get in the refrigerator with the beer! Ha....
