Cool craigslist find today. Flatacraft Force 6 with twins Yammy 70s

I always kill time at work by treasure hunting on craigslist. This is what I found locally today and had to pick it up.

Its a Flatacraft Force 6. I never heard of these before but did some searching here on rib.net and found that they are an older company across the Atlantic. Its an older rib but the hypalon tubes hold air and the hull is in good shape. Lots of fuel in the tank(s) at 60 gallons. The twin Yamahas run and look in good shape.

HAHA. Well done. I love it. Like how many hours elapsed from "Browsed CL" to "Picked up"?

Underrated boats built in Leicester. Far better than equivelent searider

The Force five was very quick in the rough as it should be based on the Phantom 16 hull. wish I still had mine!

Hours?!? It was minutes! Lol. I was over there right away and paid him, couldn't tow it home though. I just came back out this morning and towed it about 3 miles then got a flat. Im not sure how it happened but Im sure it has nothing to do with the rim that is disintegrating. Click image for larger version

Finally got it towed home and spent some time clearing the deck. Interesting fuel tank setup.

Yeah the Hurricane is supposed to be my main project but this thing was irresistible. I have a sweet spot for orange ribs and twin outboards.

Do you clean with MEK?

That fuel tank setup is unique, but sure uses space efficiently!

Looking good... Gonna be an interesting project!

Better to start with a household magic eraser than MEK!
