Remember they are probably pulling the same stunt the British builders do - price is £14,000 sir - ah but then you need this and that and the other - things I would have thought to be pretty essential - by the time they have finished the boat is £30,000 without an engine!!!

Korean made, PVC fabric. Interestingly, the website does not list anything larger than 14', and no RIB's as far as I can tell (quick glance.)

That is about what i paid for my 6.5M Mako. Except i did get the comercial hull on it. To date i probably have around 45K dumped into it. But I could have done several things a lot cheaper if i wanted too also. Wiith that said Mako has a bad rep they do have pour workman ship but i love my boat and it handles great. It should it's a Ballistic rip off.

Hmm. Having repaired many PVC tubed boats that were made in Korea, I would be very wary. The Craigslist ad refers to "German Hypalon" and "Lloyds of Germany" approved materials. I have known of one German manufacturer of Hypalon over the years and they ceased production several years ago. I have never heard of Lloyds of Germany, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. I agree with Codprawn, how much more will you need to spend to get the boat set up the way you want? Also, who provides warranty coverage, if any?

I believe that's Lloyd Schmidt of Hamburg.

There seems to be alot of Korean-built PVC inflatable boat outfits around. There was a 'Zebec' display here at our boat show on the weekend. I believe they seem to come out of the same plant in Korea as the 'Sea Eagle' brand does. In the case of their aluminum RIBs, Zebec gets there aluminum hulls built by Titan Boats in BC, so I can't knock the hulls, but I'd still be leery of their PVC tubes.

Zebec inflatable boats

I'm afraid I've got news for you. Zebec inflatable boats are made in China. We have pictures of the Zebec inflatable boats being manufactured at the Chinese factory.

Also, Aquaquick inflatable boat factory is located in Qingdao,China.

in some cases this is true, but not all, but what is always true is you guys always want extra's during the build and cry when you get the bill, surefire way is to get a quote not an estimate, it's legally binding and providing you guys don't change your minds about anything the quoted price is what you should pay
