There is a more extensive shopping list of what you may soon be needing in this thread:

Tomas... 33F isn't even chilly really. I think you have allowed your blood to thin too much. Rum will do that!

Tell me about it! At one point in life I could do 33 F in a tee shirt standing on my head were I working outside. Life at 17.45 N has taken its toll.

The rum by the way, is $3.29 for a 750 ml jug. Who even needs blood!

Now that last bit about the cost of rum was just turning the knife

Ah tuber, be thankful for the high cost of spirits on the Prairie! If prices there were similar to here, you might turn out like me.

Now there's a tee-shirt if I've ever read one!

When I was in Honduras last year, we bought several bottles of "Bob's Rum" for $3.00 US per litre. The coke was $4.00 for two litres. For $7.00, a fellow could have a hell of a party with a few friends. So we did. Every night. And most afternoons. And even one morning, when we couldn't dive....

I've been around a few Canadian rum and coke parties... and a few Canadian rum and Coca-cola parties, either form can hurt you badly, not that I ever participated... :>)

Rum, Coke And Canadian Ice

Who said this thread wasn't going anywhere? I'm going to tow the damn ice shelf down here and start a "Pure Canadian" Ice Company. Perhaps it wouldn't have ocurred to me had not the discussion turned to rum. We can probably get a premium for the yellow spots of Polar Bear Piss.

Once I get her going, don't get in my way cause she don't have brakes! I figures a panic stop would take half the distance from Bermuda to Tortola to accomplish!!!

Any of you N Polers want to come down on the cheap, just tie up to the leaward shore, climb aboard and join the party!

I've got just the thing...

http://www.buypalmtrees.com/classicnight-main.php

Add a few of these babies, a few quarts of rum and we'd have a hell of a trip...

How fast do you figure your Searider will pull 25 square miles of ice Tomas? I am trying to figure out if I'm going to need a PFD or not before we make it to your place...
