I don't get CBC here unless there's a hockey game on. And since there's no hockey...

The show is called Rick Mercer Report.
It should be streaming on the CBC website soon.

Does anyone know of a how-to video or something to do that trick with the rope they used to roll him back in the boat?

Was thinking about keeping a net of webbing with attachments for exactly that, until I saw the price of webbing nets (might have to make my own if I ever get a HD sewing machine.)

Most cases, you can get a person's feet and calves up over the tubes, and lever them over by pulling their arms. Much easier than a straight pull out from alongside the boat.

Might be worth checking out webbing replacements for tailgates or pickup box cover webs from surplus outfits such as Harbour Freight (similar to our Princes Auto in Canada)

Yeah, I keep my eyes open for something that'll work, but haven't run across anything as of yet. It's not a real high priority; anyone who ends up stuck in the water, worst case a call to the CG would get help reasonably quickly (at least where I am.)

In truth, unless I was solo on the boat, we could probably get a majority of people into the boat without too much trouble. One exception would be my regular dive buddy (a really big guy), but he's already been warned that he's waiting for the CG if anything happens.

Worst case is I rig up the dock lines (4 of them - I keep one on each corner of the boat as standard), and work it that way; it'd be a little fiddly, but I'm fairly sure it's doable.
