Back on the water ,Yeah!!!

great to be back out on the water, even if not fully recovered
Did a shoot for Stars and Stripes USA11 today, for some images on their new website.
Wind didn't co-operate though and not much action to shoot, but got some basic shots.
On the way back in the coastguard came over to give me a wave ,so gave me a good photo Op.
Have some good tall ship cannon battles coming up in a couple of weeks , so nice to get out there and get the RIB dusted off.
cheers Dal

Is that an HH-65? Nice shot.

Good to hear you're back out there.

Have a good New Year;

Glad to see the "orange" float back on the water. It does not get any better than this; whale watching and chasing hundreds of porpoises on the last day of the year. Hope 2007 is another wonderful year for everyone.

No hosepipe bans in Wales I can assure you - we get enough rain to supply the population of the whole World - literally!!!

Thanks to all for the good wishes
CAH how far out were you and what rough bearing from point Loma?
Jealous as no whales so far for me yet this season!!
Will have to follow the commercial boats out as they always seem to find them

cheers Dal

Oh, JKy ;yes is a HH65 Dolphin.
Looks smart, but a friend of mine who is a rescue swimmer, reckons they are undepowered (in terms of lift capability ) and difficult to get spares.
i shot this as they lifted of from the Coastguard station In San Diego Bay.
They saw me waiting 50yds offshore and obligingly came over low and waved.
They know I have a coastguard section on my website and probably wanted a photo
cheers Dal
